Apa bezanya pengusiran syaitan/roh jahat yang dilakukan oleh paderi yang dilantik oleh Uskup dan yang boleh dilakukan oleh umat Katolik? — Ingin TahuDi dalam Injil, dinyatakan bahawa semasa Yesus memilih kedua belas rasul, diberikannya kuasa kepada mereka untuk mengusir roh-roh jahat . Kuasa tersebut diberikan kepada kedua belas rasul.
Atas pertanyaan tersebut Yesus menjawab kerana mereka kurang percaya. Tanda-tanda orang yang percaya telah dijelaskan oleh Yesus sebelum Dia naik ke Syurga. Salah satu tanda orang percaya ialah kemampuan mengusir syaitan demi nama-Nya . Dari satu sisi, pengusiran syaitan adalah tanda hadirnya Tuhan, namun di sisi lain, kita harus hati-hati bahawa tidak semuanya berasal daripada Tuhan.
Oleh itu, tidak seorang pun dapat melakukan eksorsisme terhadap orang yang kerasukan syaitan tanpa mendapatkan kuasa dari uskup. Sebagai umat beriman, kita boleh membantu dengan berdoa agar kita dibebaskan dari yang jahat, sebagaimana didaraskan pada doa Bapa Kami.
