Forestry was my discipline prior to becoming a political scientist.However, I am not a licensed and registered forester, simply because I did not take the forest licensure exam. There is a law that regulates the practice of the forestry profession.

The more fundamental alteration of the professional landscape is that the core of the purview of the work of foresters, which is the regulation and supervision of logging operations, has now been radically diminished with the banning of logging from natural forests, and the tight regulation of harvesting even from plantations.
