A shooting outside an Oak Lawn emergency room is believed to be connected to an earlier shooting that left two men dead in Auburn Gresham, police said
Three men are dead after two separate shootings Saturday that police believe are connected.
Oak Lawn police responded to a disturbance call outside Advocate Christ Medical Center around 2 a.m. after a large group of individuals was seen near the emergency room entrance in the 9400-block of S. Kilbourn Avenue.A 28-year-old man from Rockford, Illinois, was found on the ground with a gunshot wound through his left eye. Officer said they also saw another man running from the scene.
Witnesses told officers the man seen fleeing the area was the shooter and that man was subsequently taken into custody. The preliminary investigation indicates this incident is related to a double-murder near the 800-block of W. 87th Street in Chicago that occurred shortly before the shooting.
