Four dogs have been removed from the Gold Coast property where a toddler was attacked late on Wednesday afternoon, the third instance of dogs mauling a child in Queensland in a week.
Several paramedic crews attended and rushed her to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious condition. A Gold Coast City council spokeswoman said they had received a small number of complaints about the dogs at the property.“As such, officers had visited the property on several occasions and patrolled the area regularly with a view to ensuring compliance with local laws,” she said.“She’s ruined for life for trusting dogs, for a start. I feel sorry for the whole family,” he said.
In the state’s north, a woman was also bitten on the leg near Townsville and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
