Shayda is a drama film by writer-director Noora Niasari. An Iranian mother on the run from her husband finds a respite from her chaotic life for her and her daughter in an Australian women's shelter. However, their freedom is threatened when her husband tracks them down.
Bolstered by a heartbreaking performance by Zar Amir Ebrahimi, Shayda explores the unnerving, arduous journey of its character with great care.
