Shane Dawson Revealed Why He Hasn’t Included the James Charles/Tati Westbrook Drama in His YouTube Series
. To clear things up, Shane went on Instagram Live the other day to explain everything.
In a forty-minute-long Instagram Live, Shane came clean about everything he's been feeling about the YouTube series. He revealed that, in the beginning, the series was going to focus on the beauty world in general, not the palette. He explained that, once he started working on the palette, it took over his life, so he made the decision to just film the whole year and the process."We filmed it," Shane explained."Andrew filmed the whole thing.
So, when Shane made the trailer, he included the drama."My whole thing was like, 'Whenever the drama episode comes, I’m going to have it have a message and a point...I’ll have the moral be about that and the mistakes, what they learned, the growth from all sides and then moving on.'" Shane revealed he even edited the episode that included the drama."It’s an hour and a half long. It’s f*cking insane. It’s crazy...There’s no crazy information it’s just kind of me in the world and seeing what happens and everyone kind of f*cking up and learning from it and moving on."Then, things changed when the series started airing and Shane found that people actually did care about the business side of things.
Once Shane realized that, he reformatted everything and decided to focus on the business stuff and the more personal moments, like his proposal to Ryland, which we get to see in the series. Then, as the launch date of the palette approached, he had all of these things to cover, like the reveal of the collection, so there was no time for drama. And now, Shane doesn't believe that discussing the drama is the right thing to do.
