Shafie announces new district office to be set up in Kimanis

KIMANIS POLLS | Currently, Bongawan residents are travelling 40 minutes to the district office in Papar.

| Sabah Chief Minister Shafie Apdal has promised to build a new district office in Bongawan, one-half of the Kimanis parliamentary seat.

"In the last general election, I promised to set up a sub-district office in Kelabakan. Now the sub-district office is there. So, it is not a lie," he said before concluding his speech. In 2015, Membakut state assemblyperson Ariffin Mohd Arif asked the government to expedite the setting up of a full district.
