As San Franciscans pay the second installment of their annual property tax bill, it’s unclear The City’s haul for the general fund will match the last one.
The San Francisco Controller’s Office projected in February as part of its six-month budget status report that The City would take in an estimated $2.49 billion in property taxes for the general fund. A December report from the Controller’s Office, Mayor’s Office and Board of Supervisors’ Budget Analyst previously projected $2.53 billion in general fund property tax revenue.
