Following the success of BSS , JxW and Hoshi X Woozi , SEVENTEEN is set to debut another subunit! Group members S.Coups and Mingyu are making their debut as a subunit this September with a new album.
Korean news outlets recently reported that the two SEVENTEEN members will debut in a subunit as a duo. This debut marks the K-pop group’s fourth official subunit. While the subunit has yet to unveil its name, the debut is set for sometime in September. S.Coups and Mingyu also recently completed the filming for their debut music video in Los Angeles, California. Speculation of an S.Coups and Mingyu subunit arose a few months back after the two were in Hawaii together.
Fans have already expressed excitement about the new subunit, saying they look forward to the debut. Some netizens who chanced upon the music video filming set also mentioned that there will likely be scenes of the members at the beach, adding to fans’ anticipation. Given S.Coups and Mingyu’s reputation amongst fans as SEVENTEEN’s resident heartthrobs, Korean media has also dubbed the debut as “SEVENTEEN’s Hot Guys Unit”.Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is gearing up for their upcoming concert tour, “NEW_”.
There are also talks that S.Coups and Mingyu would perform their subunit songs at SEVENTEEN’s Incheon concert. Are you excited for their subunit debut?
