Continuous rain since Friday (Jan 10) morning has led to the opening of seven temporary relief centres (PPS) in Kota Tinggi, Johor due to floods. As of 8pm Friday, 120 people from 50 families have been evacuated to three PPS, with SJKC New Kota housing the most victims.

The Johor disaster management committee said as of 8pm Friday, there were currently 120 people from 50 families that had been evacuated to three PPS. “This is followed by Dewan Kg Baru Sungai Mas with 18 people from Kg Baru Sungai Mas and SRA Bersatu with 11 people from Taman Mawai,” it said in a statement here on Friday night.
