KOTA TINGGI: Seven foreigners have been arrested for illegal gambling in a raid on a house here.
Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said police raided a house at Taman Lukut Cina at 10.50pm on Wednesday after receiving a tip-off."We also seized and cash amounting to RM268.
"The suspects, all men between 24 and 34, have been brought to police headquarters here for further action," he said in a statement on Thursday .If convicted, they could face fines of up to RM10,000 or a maximum of 12 months' jail, or both. "We would like to remind the public that stern action will be taken against those engaging in illegal gambling activities.
"We also hope that the public will channel information to the police on any such activities," he said.
