Bad guys better think twice before driving in Seven Hills.

That’s the idea behind City Council recently approving the addition of license plate reader cameras to be situated throughout the community.

“Our police department has recommended the purchase of five license plate readers,” Seven Hills Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta said. “I support this. “The cameras are a valuable tool that prevents crime and helps officers in identifying vehicles involved in crime.”“The plan is for the cameras to be placed in heavily traveled roads and intersections in the city,” he said.In other police camera news, Seven Hills police this past spring added officer body cameras.

The 23 Motorola Watchguard body cameras are the same models providing compatibility with cruiser dash cameras and similar wi-fi uploading procedures.
