A 67-year-old man has been arrested after seven people were shot dead in Half Moon Bay - marking the second mass shooting to rock California in days.

The Sheriff's Office is responding to a shooting incident with multiple victims in the area of HWY 92 and the HMB City limits. Media is requested to approach from the north and stage at the Half Moon Bay substation at 537 Kelly Ave. in Half Moon BaySan Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus confirmed 67-year-old Zhao Chunli was arrested as a suspect after he was found in a car in the parking lot of the sheriff’s department substation.
The tragedy comes off the back of a mass shooting at a Lunar New Year celebration in California’s Monterey Park on Saturday.
