Pengerusi SESB Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau berkata di bawah MoU yang merupakan perjanjian pembekalan elektrik, tarif khas akan diberikan kepada SK Nexilis dengan tujuan menarik pelaburan asing ke Sabah.
“Menerusi MoU ini, keistimewaan akan diberikan kepada SK Nexilis sebagai pengguna kuasa industri terbesar SESB apabila kilangnya beroperasi sepenuhnya nanti,” katanya pada majlis menandatangani perjanjian itu, di sini. Anggaran penggunaan ialah 70MW dengan anggaran jualan 45,360MWj sebulan.
” Bagi tujuan ini, katanya, SESB komited untuk berfungsi sebagai pemboleh pertumbuhan ekonomi Sabah. Menteri Pembangunan Perindustrian dan Keusahawanan negeri Phoong Jin Zhe berkata kilang SK Nexilis itu dijangka siap pada penghujung tahun depan. “Ia akan menyediakan peluang pekerjaan kepada penduduk tempatan Sabah. Daripada 400 peluang pekerjaan yang diwujudkan, penduduk tempatan akan mengisi 80 peratus. “Dengan jumlah pelaburan RM4.
