Sequoia bolsters London office with sixth partner hire as VC firm unveils radical restructure
Sequoia has poached Accel principal Julien Bek, people familiar with the matter said.Venture capital firm Sequoia has bolstered its presence in Europe with the hire of its sixth partner in London, Insider understands.
The company has poached Julien Bek, currently a principal at Accel, a person familiar with the matter told Insider. Both Accel and Sequoia confirmed the news when contacted by Insider. "Since Julien joined us as an associate five years ago, he's become a valued member of our London team," Accel partner Sonali De Rycker said."We wish him all the best in his new role at Sequoia, continuing to support the European ecosystem that has really hit a tipping point in terms of talent, innovation, and ambition."
