The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has accepted a written statement sought by the defence in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial does not exist.
The five men accused of murdering the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper appeared in court on Monday for the continuation of the trial. His testimony placed all five of the accused in Vosloorus on 26 October 2014, the evening Meyiwa was shot and killed while in the presence of his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, her family members and friends.
Mnisi asked the court to listen to the recording and submitted the State had the written statement, thereby inferring it had hidden the statement in question and purposely not disclosed it.
