MANILA: Flying out of the Philippines’ main international airport used to mean packing a whole lot of extra patience alongside your passport.
KUCHING: A 61-year-old senior executive of a local television station and another individual have been remanded for two days as part of an investigation into money laundering and criminal breach of trust .
Senior assistant registrar Heng Yi Min granted the remand order at the Sessions Court on Saturday .It is understood that both suspects will be taken to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday for further investigations. They were among five individuals arrested in a special operation codenamed Ops Ragada on Friday , conducted by the Inspector-General of Police secretariat’s Anti-Money Laundering Division.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain stated that the division officers detained four men and a woman aged between 25 and 61 in the probe, which is being investigated under Section 4 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
