A senior manager has claimed that he was unfairly made redundant at a software firm, with his US-based boss benefiting from the decision. The manager, Kevin Foley, stated that his boss should not have been involved in the process. Foley had been offered a retention bonus before being informed of his redundancy less than a month later.
A senior manager has said he was put out of his job at a software firm earning a base salary of €170,000 in a “sham” redundancy that involved his US-based boss, who he said benefited from the decision and should never have had a role in the process.
