City officials said the project could spur $50 million in commercial and residential development over the next few years.

A developer has gained approval for a senior living project next to the Promenade Apartments at State Road 32 and Little Chicago Road in Noblesville.

Promenade Trails will feature 151 apartments and 59 cottage rentals with sidewalks and trails for people 55 years and older. and utility lines for the development on the northwest corner of Mill Creek Road and SR 32.“When you put in that type of infrastructure it gets a lot of interest from developers,’ said Bob DuBois, president of the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. “I know there has been a lot of commercial interest and there is a pent up demand.

Promenade Trails will be a 3-story main building with one and two-bedroom apartments, common areas and a central courtyard. The rest of the housing will be cottage style structures with two to five apartments, front porches and attached garages.The project continues a surge of development on the city’s west side, which Mayor Chris Jensen said has been overlooked with recent construction focused on downtown.
