Exclusive: The vocal opponent of a voice to parliament is set to announce she will join the crossbench
Victorian senator Lidia Thorpe is expected to announce she is quitting the Greens and will move to the crossbench.
A source told Guardian Australia Thorpe wanted to become the “leader of the black sovereignty movement” but was unable to do so as a member of a political party.
