The Senate is set to revert to its pre-pandemic hearing and meeting practices following the recent lifting of the state of public health emergency nationwide due to COVID-19. | charieabarcaINQ

“[T]he Senate will no longer conduct hybrid hearings and meetings beginning Monday, August 7. We shall revert back to the pre-pandemic practice of conducting meetings and hearings personally,” said Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri during a plenary session on Wednesday.

“This is in line also with the House of Representatives, because the House of Representatives, they [have] now canceled the hybrid sessions and hybrid hearings. In line with that, we will also continue that practice,” he added.
