JohorBahru Polis menahan 19 anggota penguatkuasa termasuk seorang pegawai kanan PDRM selain anggota ATM yang terbabit dalam sindiket penyeludupan Pendatang Asing Tanpa Izin (PATI)
Ketua Polis Johor, Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, berkata penahanan 19 anggota penguatkuasa itu susulan tangkapan 40 suspek sindiket penyeludupan PATI dalam operasi pada 4 Jun lalu.
"Hasil maklumat yang diperolehi itu, Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Johor melancarkan operasi susulan pada Isnin hingga awal pagi tadi dan berjaya menahan 19 anggota penguatkuasa termasuk seorang pegawai kanan polis negeri ini. "Kesemua suspek membabitkan pegawai kanan polis berpangkat Asisten Superintendan yang bertugas di sebuah Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah di negeri ini, seorang anggota pangkat rendah Polis Marin Wilayah Dua, Tampoi, anggota pangkat rendah bertugas di Bukit Aman dan anggota pangkat rendah bertugas di IPD Kota Tinggi .Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang media di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Johor di Johor Bahru, hari ini.
