The state has exceeded its 2019 investment target of RM10 billion.
Selangor targets to achieve investments worth RM12 billion in 2020 compared with RM10 billion last year, says state investment, industry and commerce, and small and medium enterprises committee chairperson Teng Chang Khim.
“Even though we had targeted an investment of RM10 billion last year, we succeeded in attracting RM16.4 billion in investments as of September 2019. The agreement was to confirm Selangor’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai which is scheduled to be held from October 2020 until April 2021. Commenting on the state’s investment to the Middle East countries, Teng said the committee was focusing on expanding the services sector, besides the halal industry.
