PETALING JAYA: The Selangor police will continue to take steps to ensure that the public complies with the conditional movement control order (MCO).

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Fadzil Ahmat said their operations were still on-going to ensure the Covid-19 chain of infection is broken.

"Maintaining social distancing is a must and that is one of the main things our teams will be out to look at and advise the public," he told reporters at the Selangor police headquarters on Friday . "Today we will be sending out a team led by Asst Supt Noorhamasiren Boonthnam Ekkasook from Selangor CID.

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim in a statement said in light of the conditional MCO, they have set up 142 compliance teams comprising 926 personnel.
