A Selangor state executive councilor withdrew from chairing a hearing session on the Selangor State Structure Plan 2025 following objections from the Rawang Tolak Incinerator (RTI) Network regarding the Batu Arang waste-to-energy plant. The councilor, Datuk Ng Suee Lim, stated that the state government is always open to feedback and criticism and will organize another session for the RTI Network to submit their objections.

: A Selangor state executive councilor stated today that the state government would always be open to criticism and feedback from residents over the Batu Arang waste-to-energy plant in Rawang near here.

“Such an action should not come up as we are always open, including providing hearing sessions to gather feedback or objections involving large scale projects, including the development of the incinerator. RTI Network had suggested that Ng should not chair the session earlier today and claimed that he belittled their views and opinions regarding the Batu Arang incinerator.
