Announced nearly a year ago during the faith’s General Conference, the temple in Wasatch County will be the church’s 28th existing or planned temple in Utah.
Groundbreaking is set for Oct. 8 in Heber City; location also announced for a second temple in Rexburg, Idaho.Utahns now know what the Heber Valley Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will look like and where it will be built.
The church released a rendering of the exterior Monday and announced that the twin-spired, three-story, 88,000-square-foot edifice will go up on a nearly 18-acre site south of 1400 E. Center St. in Heber City.
