Children's Museum Houston kicks off its summer activities with Pokemon meet and greet Saturday
The Children's Museum Houston will host activities throughout the summer where kids can meet Marvel heroes, dinosaurs and participate in cultural festivals.To kick off its"Power Up! Summer" event series, the museum will have photo opportunities June 3 with costumed characters Pikachu and Charmander from the Pokémon franchise. The characters will walk around the museum greeting children and a game truck will be located in the Concrete Jungle section.
Other meet and greets include Spiderman June 10, life-size puppet dinosaurs June 24, Guardians of the Galaxy July 1, and Captain America to celebrate the 4th of July. Various magicians will also perform July 29 for kids who prefer DC heroes.The museum will also host several holiday events including a Juneteenth celebration June 17-19, Tanabata Festival July 7, National Ice Cream Day July 16, and World Brain Day July 22.
