LaRose’s office announced Wednesday that Rob Nichols, a longtime Republican operative in Ohio, no longer is the office’s press secretary, a job that includes the responsibility of dealing with the news media. Nichols’ interim replacement, Mary Cianciolo, said Wednesday morning that Nichols no longer works for LaRose’s office. She declined to provide further details, saying she can’t comment on personnel issues.
