A boy, 16, has died in hospital as a result of a crash over the Easter weekend that also claimed the life of his cousin. The boy's older brother has been charged over the crash.

The driver of the car, 23-year-old Rory Teiffel from Wangaratta, has already faced court over charges resulting from the crash, including culpable driving causing death. While the 16-year-old boy was Mr Teiffel's younger brother, the other two passengers were his cousins. Mr Teiffel — who was granted bail at a court hearing on April 11 — is due to reappear in the Wangaratta Magistrates' Court on September 7.
