Seberang Prai to become city on Malaysia Day

SEBERANG Prai is scheduled to be declared a city on Malaysia Day, September 16, according to Penang executive councillor, Jagdeep Singh Deo, chairman of the State Housing, Local Government, Town and Rural Development Committee. He said the Housing and Local Government Ministry has submitted the letter for the change of Seberang Prai Municipal Council to Seberang Perai City Council , to Istana Negara for approval.
