(Reuters) - American content creators on TikTok asked followers to subscribe to their channels on rival platforms like Meta-owned Instagram and Alphabet's YouTube after a federal appeals court ruled that the social media app could be banned if it is not sold to a U.S.-based company by Jan. 19.

KUALA LUMPUR: Seat allocations for the next general election should prioritise Barisan Nasional component parties and not"others", says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong .

He also said that the Barisan leaders should prioritise their own parties in discussions on seat allocations between the parties in the unity government. He added Barisan would contest in constituencies that were not contested by Pakatan and"we do not contest in the areas they are contesting in." “We have discussed this at the supreme council level and we have given our views. But there are many more details that need to be ironed out that we need to discuss in depth," Dr Wee said.
