MIRI: A search-and-rescue operation is being carried out to find a diver who went out to the South China Sea here on Sunday (June 23) but has been missing since.
Ho Soon Lee, who is in his 40s, went diving Sunday at a coral reef site about 5 nautical miles off the Miri coast but did not return to shore.
A full-scale search is on with the maritime authorities, the Fisheries Department and also the Fire and Rescue boat unit being deployed.The weather in Miri was hot and sunny Sunday and there was no indication of untoward weather offshore.
