Former prime minister Scott Morrison has issued a statement in response to Senator Lidia Thorpe’s accusation against Victorian Liberal senator David Van.
Ms Thorpe has accused Mr Van of harassment and sexual assault while the Liberal senator was making a speech on the Higgins saga in the Senate and claimed, “the prime minister had to remove him from his office”.
Mr Morrison said in the statement that he doesn’t remember any such allegation from Ms Thorpe nor being involved in Mr Van moving offices.
