After Dean Gray died on a camping trip, his mother discovered intimate messages on his phone from a school teacher. Now the Department of Education has acted.
A former school principal has been sacked 10 years after “engaging in a sexual relationship” with a 17-year-old student.
The Ethical and Professional Standards investigation found that the teacher sent a friend request to Gray on Facebook on or about April 11, 2013. “I think this is a good outcome – completely appropriate and that she is not to be re-employed. That’s a victory for Dean,” Cherina Gray said.“But it’s been hell for the family since 2016. And it’s been extremely hard on the family.
