Schalk Brits on Springbok flyhalf: ‘It’s a no-brainer’

Former Springbok star Schalk Brits has predicted that Handre Pollard will be South Africa's first-choice flyhalf going forward.

Libbok started the key games against Scotland and Ireland, and showed touches of class in those encounters, but his goal-kicking was an issue.

In the big knockout encounters, that could be a problem, which is why Pollard has entered the conversation after being called up as an injury replacement forHe started against Tonga, and his place-kicking was a standout as the Springboks defeated the Pacific Islanders 49-18 to put them on the brink of quarter-final qualification.

Brits was joined on the podcast by former Scotland number eight Johnnie Beattie, who believes that all countries need a top-class goal-kicker if they want to win the World Cup.
