The foreign ministry issued a statement affirming its categorical rejection of Netanyahu's comments, which were made during an interview. Arab states, including Egypt and Jordan, have also expressed their disapproval of the Israeli suggestions, viewing them as a violation of Saudi sovereignty. This incident comes amidst ongoing tensions in the region following the Gaza war and President Trump's controversial proposal to take control of the Gaza Strip from Israel.
