The October payment cycle of the South African Social Security Agency's grants started yesterday, with mostly smooth sailing.
The South African Social Security Agency has urged grant beneficiaries in KZN to collect their money at ATMs and retail stores such as Boxer, Pick n Pay, SPAR, Shoprite and Usave. In a statement issued by the agency, it is said this is due to many post office branches in the province reporting that they anticipate insufficient cash in store as a result of cash delivery delays.
“This comes after the technical glitches experienced last month, affecting grant recipients across the country. “According to Sassa, the elderly will receive their money on October 3, those living with disabilities on October 4, while payment of children grants categories will get theirs from October 5,” their article states. We use cookies to help improve your experience and to show you relevant advertising.
