Pohorecky was committed to stand trial in connection with four of the five alleged victims. At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing, the Crown directed a stay of proceedings on charges involving one complainant, Crown prosecutor Lana Morelli confirmed. Preliminary hearings determine if there is sufficient evidence to hold a trial. The case will be sent to Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench, where a trial date will eventually be set.Article content
Police have said all of the alleged victims were under the age of 16 when the alleged assaults took place between 2016 and 2021. Pohorecky is out on bail. While in the community, he is on a 24-hour curfew , cannot contact the complainants or their parents, cannot be around anyone under the age of 16 and cannot be at pools or playgrounds.
