Saskatchewan Polytechnic received $7.5 million from Concorde Group of Companies founders and renowned philanthropists Irene Dubé and the late Leslie Dubé.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is a step closer to reaching its $100 million dollar goal to build a new centralized campus after receiving a $7.5 million donation Tuesday.

The school received $7.5 million from Concorde Group of Companies founders and renowned philanthropists Irene Dubé and the late Leslie Dubé. The funding boost will go toward the “Time to Rise” campaign, to support the construction of the new Jospeh A. Remai Saskatoon Campus, which will be located at the University of Saskatchewan’s Innovation place.

“You may see a doctor once a day when you’re in the hospital, but you will see your nurse literally dozens of times,” she said. “Nurses are your comfort and care when you are most vulnerable.” Second-year psychiatric nursing student Kelly Unrau chose this program because she wanted to make a a positive impact on her community.
