KUCHING: Sarawak is set to host the 2019 Malaysia Day celebrations here on Sept 16.
Scheduled to be held at Padang Merdeka from 5.30pm, the celebrations will be a continuation of the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaigns held here from Aug 2 to 4. According to the Malaysia Day organising committee, this year’s theme will be Sayangi Malaysiaku: Malaysia Bersih . It symbolises unity and love for the country’s wellbeing, while instilling integrity among all Malaysians.Among the events scheduled are a shadow play show, decorated car parades and other performances by leading artistes. — Bernama
