The state deputy chief says the final decision on whether the party will contest in the Nov 4 by-election will be known on nomination day.

Abun Sui Anyit said Sarawak PKR would look into all scenarios before deciding whether to contest in the Nov 4 Jepak by-election.

He said the party would consider all scenarios before deciding whether to contest in the Nov 4 by-election as the unity government’s stability must be maintained.“If we contest, a different scenario and backfire on us. We must take that into consideration,” Abun told FMT when commenting on Jepak DAP chief Tonny Ung’s suggestion for Sarawak PKR to reconsider its decision to skip the by-election.

Ung’s rationale for the suggestion he made earlier today was based on the fact that Sarawak has no unity government and it is instead governed by Gabungan Parti Sarawak .
