Sarawak says it is reducing the number of flights from Labuan to Miri in line with the movement control order.
KUCHING: The number of flights from Labuan to Miri will be reduced from three times to once weekly to curb the spread of Covid-19, Sarawak’s tourism minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said. Karim, who represented state disaster management committee chairman Douglas Uggah Embas, told a press conference today the reduction in the number of flights was in line with the movement control order .
He said Sarawakians arriving from the peninsula, Sabah and Labuan must undergo self-isolation at a quarantine centre.Eight of the cases are being treated at Sarawak General Hospital and one at Bintulu Hospital.Karim also said the committee had decided to allow workshops to operate twice a week, from 7am to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
