Sarawak CM declines Dr M’s offer to buy stake in Petronas

“What is the point for us to buy the stakes?” he asked at the launch of a Blueprint for development programme here this evening. He pointed out that even the Petronas board does not have the kind of power that the prime minister has over the oil company. The chief minister said the state’s boundary was established in 1954 by the Queen in Council when Sarawak was a British colony.
He said many foreign investors have pulled out their funds from Malaysia as at the end of last month.
