A company was fined a total of RM6,000 for having for sale hand sanitisers which were not registered with the Health Ministry and had no labels.

Kota Kinabalu: .Sessions Court Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim imposed the sentence on C-Care Enterprise Sdn Bhd after its representative admitted to two charges. On the first count, the company was fined RM3,000 for having two types of unregistered hand sanitisers which were 30 units of Cool Day’s Original Instant and two units of Nake Hand Sanitiser at 10.30am on March 23, 2021 at the company premises in Wisma Telipok Ria Phase 2.

On the second count, the company was fined another RM3,000 for having for sale four types of sanitisers without notification at the same place and day. The sanitisers were 26 units of Instant Hand Sanitiser Natural, 21 units of Sopami Instant Hand Sanitisers, 23 units of Heaven Dove and 31 units of Heaven Dove .During mitigation, the company’s representative through its counsel, asked for leniency. But the prosecution urged the court to impose an appropriate sentence.
