Described as"reckless" by lawyer Josh Koskoff, who is representing the victims, the lawsuit is over the marketing of the Bushmaster AR-15. The plaintiffs say the semi-automatic weapon, which was based on a U.S. military gun, was illegally marketed by Remington to at-risk, young men. In March, the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled that the families could sure Remington over how the product was marketed. Last month, Remington appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, but the court declined to hear it.: Twenty children, aged between six and seven, and six adults were killed by 20-year-old Adam Lanza, who shot his way into Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012. The shooter killed himself as emergency services and police arrived at the school.
