The Sandiganbayan has acquitted former mayor Francisco M. Nazareno of Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental of his graft charge in the alleged unlawful donations reportedly made by the municipality to his foundation in 2013. ManilaBulletin

The supposed donations Nazareno reportedly authorized to be given to Uswag Moises Padilla Development Foundation, Inc. he founded consisted of cash, land, vehicle, assorted medicines and office supplies worth P2.48 million.

The only thing that the prosecution managed to prove was that Nazareno was mayor of Moises Padilla, he had direct interest in Uswag, and he executed several Deeds of Donation in favor of Uswag, the court said.
