The San Francisco Police Department gave an update on Friday night's Mission District shooting.

Nine people — one woman and eight men ranging in age from 20 to 34 years old — were transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital with gunshot wounds, the hospital said. “One patient remains in critical condition, three are in fair condition, and five have been discharged,” according to the hospital.

“This kind of violence on our streets [is] unacceptable,” Chief of Police William Scott said in a statement shared with SFGATE. “People should feel safe to go out in San Francisco without fear of being victims of gun violence.” Last night's shooting in the Mission is still under investigation. I know there are a lot of questions and concerns in the community, and people want answers.
