The person killed and another wounded had just left a wake held at a hall in the area for a person they both knew who had died.
OAKLAND — A San Francisco man killed in aafter attending a wake in Oakland was identified by police Friday as Dominique Miles, 40.
A 22-year-old San Francisco man, who was an acquaintance of Miles, was also wounded in the shooting and is still recovering, authorities said.The shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 300 block of 27th Street, about a half-block west of Broadway. Miles and the other man had just left a wake held at a hall in the area for a person they both knew who had died. Miles was sitting in a parked vehicle on the north side of the street and the other man was outside the vehicle.
