Built in 1923, the house is part of a unique collection of homes sitting originally on the other side of the adjacent Presidio wall, said listing agent Steven Mavromihalis of Compass. Famed architect August Headman designed the French-inspired home for its original owner, Carlo Matraia, who lived there until 1940. The placement allows for unique views of the Presidio from much of the home, as well as parking in the rear, as opposed to a garage off the street.
