San Diego Union-Tribune reporters, photojournalists and editors received dozens of awards from the San Diego Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for their work in 2022, including the top award for Excellence in Journalism.on Tuesday at Stone Brewing Co. in Liberty Station, the Union-Tribune staff received 42 awards, with an additional 36 awards earned by U-T Community Press staff.

Among the awards, the Union-Tribune was recognized as the best news site and best entertainment site.
